Handy reasons to oppose any South Bay development

It will create more traffic.

It will attract too many people.

It will increase storm drain runoff

It will drive people away.

It could harm the California Blue Butterfly.

It will ruin our small town atmosphere.

Children might be put at risk.

Someone might file a lawsuit.

More crime will result.

Seniors and people on fixed incomes might not be able to pay for it.

Views will be blocked.

The press will have a field day.

Nowhere do we see the native plants we asked for.

None of the proper permits were secured.

Businesses will suffer.

The smell will be intolerable.

It will destroy something of historical value.

It is just another form of racism.

It will hurt the environment.

Only a few will use it, but everyone will have to pay for it.

It might result in hydrogen sulfide gas.

The outdoor lighting will cause too much glare.

This should go before the California Coastal Commission first.

It will only benefit the wealthy.

The people approving it have a conflict of interest.

It will reduce beach access.

It will promote commercialization of public resources.

It promotes religion.

We must never put economic benefit over community.

There isn't enough parking.

This is too close to a school.

It is out of scale with neighboring structures.

Current zoning doesn't permit this type of use.

Construction will cause too much dust and congestion.

This isn't how we should be spending our dwindling revenue.

Investors might not have funding to complete the project.

It's not that I'm opposed to projects like this, I just don't think it's appropriate for this community.

An environmental impact review has not been conducted.

Something this big should be put on an initiative.

This will have a negative effect on neighboring property values.
