How many episodes of the new NBC series "LAX" will air before Los Angeles airport officials begin their PR campaign to reassure travelers that the airport is not as rife with drug running, smuggling and terrorist threats as the show might imply?

What would supporters of the effort to save the Los Angeles Air Force Base say if was actually proven that the base should be closed out of wartime necessity?

We have to pick between Mike Gordon and Greg Hill? Really?

Why are more and more South Bay residents choosing to drive vehicles that cannot fit two abreast on most residential streets?

Why do we still occasionally hear Manhattan Beach residents bitch about their public arts program, when it is far and away the best in the South Bay?

Why do people still talk about building something on the end of the Hermosa Beach pier? BONUS: Why don't more people recognize that the Hermosa Beach pier renovation is the most poorly managed public works program in recent memory?

Why don't more people ride the bus? BONUS: Why does the Green Line still not go to the airport?

Why aren't their more websites giving an alternative view of the news in the South Bay?

What if Bush is reelected with a minority of the popular vote?

Why do we allow the real estate industry to control our local media?

Why do we continue to support Gov. Schwarzenegger when he hasn't proven much better than Gray Davis?

In an area with so much new construction and development, why are there so few visionary architects or innovative urban planners?
